Unusually severe winter weather continues to hammer New Zealand, with snow warnings being issued left/right/and center, with various roads closed. (see earlier post here.)
A Queenstown police spokeswoman said it was the first time in years she had heard of snow forcing the closure of the Kawarau Gorge.Heck, I've driven that road ... it's not that high altitude. Of course, only unusually hot weather is a sign of global climate change ... unusually cold weather is just "misleading and inaccurate information about climate change" and anyway "'Scientists' say that any apparent cooling is due to natural changes and does not alter the long-term warming trend." See?
