So it looks like John McCain has picked Sarah Palin to run with him. I think it's a shrewd choice for many reasons, but a couple stand out. Her lack of experience offers an inviting target, but as long as the topic is experience that works for McCain. Slim as her experience may be, Obama's is even thinner, so attacks on those grounds will also look like a double standard.

Palin is an invitation to fight on a field where McCain has all the advantage.
